Meet the Team

Crystal has over 12 years New Zealand experience as a tax accountant and business advisor. She has extensive experience with small to medium sized businesses in a range of areas including tax, re-structuring, strategic planning and property investment.

Crystal strives to understand how our clients businesses operate as a means to providing the very best quality of service. She also continually strives to find ways to improve processes for our practice so that we can operate in the most efficient way possible.

Her dedication to the accounting profession and range of experience has brought excellent value to ABA and its clients. Crystal is a member of BCCPA (British Columbia Chartered Professional Accountants) as well as CAANZ (Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand).

In her spare time Crystal loves running, dirt bike riding and spending time with her young family.

Keri-Ann has been with the ABA team since March 2011 and became a co-owner of the practice alongside Crystal Scott in December 2020.

Keri-Ann holds a Bachelor of Management Studies with an Accounting major from Waikato University, which she completed in October 2003. With over 15 years of experience in public practice accounting, her expertise is further enriched by a previous career in Business and Rural Banking, providing her with a strong foundation in supporting clients across a wide range of financial needs.

Keri-Ann is passionate about equipping clients with the tools necessary to grow their businesses. She has extensive experience in business due diligence, small business management and forecasting. Additionally, Keri-Ann has a keen interest in property investment and is always exploring ways to add value for her clients. She is dedicated to helping businesses operate efficiently and thrive.

Outside of work, Keri-Ann enjoys tramping, running, and paddleboarding in Orewa Estuary, as well as spending quality time with her family.

Nada is a qualified Chartered Accountant, a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). She is also a XERO Certified Advisor.

Nada is originally from Croatia, where she obtained a Bachelor of Accounting and Business Finance from the University of Zagreb. She has extensive experience in general accounting and as an external auditor, working for Price Waterhouse Coopers both in Croatia and in Auckland before joining our team in April 2010. 

In her current role Nada is engaged in accounting and compliance services including working with some of our larger clients.  She also provides tax advisory services with a focus on trusts, tax residency and property tax.  Nada continually maintains a high quality of service and advice to our clients and it is a pleasure to have her on our team.    

In her spare time Nada loves reading, travelling, exercising in the local gym and spending time with her husband and two young sons.

Tony has been employed by ABA as an accountant and tax specialist since June 2010.

He has a penchant for Tax legislation, and as a result has extensive experience in overseas income, pensions, pension transfers, foreign investment funds (FIF), tax on property transactions (including GST) and tax residency, as well as IRD Disputes and IRD Audits. This has resulted in positive outcomes for many of our clients on a number of complex tax issues.

Tony studied accounting at Canterbury University and for many years ran his own food processing and distribution business. This has given him the valuable business background that puts him in good stead to assist our clients on many levels.

In his spare time Tony enjoys going to the movies, going for walks, and furthering his keen interest in all things relating to investment.

Sarah joined ABA in July 2015 as part of our compliance team and is a XERO Certified Advisor.  Since joining ABA she has assisted many of our clients with completing and filing their GST and annual accounts, along with getting them set up on XERO.

As a school-leaver, Sarah commenced work as a receptionist in an accounting firm on the North Shore where her position developed into an accounting role and resulted in 20 years’ experience with the same company.

Sarah lives locally, is an avid Warriors fan, and enjoys a good game of squash as well as spending time on the side lines watching the kids play sport.

Cheryl joined ABA’s compliance team in June 2019. Prior to this Cheryl had taken some time off to raise a family and manage the family business.

She completed a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and International Business at the Auckland University of Technology in 2003 and is a Chartered Accountant. Cheryl is a Xero Certified Advisor and Crystal Payroll Certified Advisor.

She has worked mainly in small to medium sized accountancy firms specialising in medium sized businesses including companies, trusts, partnerships and managed funds.

In her spare time Cheryl loves reading, exercising at the gym, upcycling and painting old furniture, and spending time with friends and family.

Helen joined the ABA team in April 2022.  She has over 20 years experience as a tax accountant working in small to medium-sized accounting practices.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology, and a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies in Accounting from Massey University which she completed in 2005, and is also a XERO Certified Advisor.

Helen grew up on the Coast and in her spare time she enjoys gardening, walking, travelling, genealogy and loves spending time with her family and friends.
